Here's a great example of why this new report system isn't going to work:
I just logged in today for the second time. I can tell I sold something (whoohoo!) because the total has increased but I have no idea what sold because all I get is a summary report. If I want to know what sold I have to print out the listings then compare the past summary with the current... no wait -- there is NO print function! Now, how silly is that? So, I have to copy and paste --- no wait -- can't do that either because the iframe won't allow you to scroll and copy at the same time.
It is not fair or correct that now we cannot see the daily sales, specially when they had it in place before and was working fine. This is an important part of any sales operation. Everybody who sells in kindle should let administration be aware that this is not acceptable. through this forum and by e-mails.. What is the reason or logic for taking away this vital and needed information, crucial to any business? If we do nothing about it and let them know, they will not put it back in place. Everybody out there who needs this information, please let your voice be heard and let administration know. Thank you.
yeah, i can't say that i care for it, either. i like having the option to have summaries - and being able to have the summaries in easily downloadable files is nice - but not at the expense of seeing the daily sales figures. that's a step backwards, methinks...
Not only can I not get a snapshot of my sales--which, inexplicably, have dropped to zero from an average of one every three days, but I can no longer view reports of past months. It seems that Excel is somehow involved.
I agree, this change to the current report is not exceptable. I have no access to the daily sales info, and that "Excel" setup for the other reports doesn't even work on some of my computers. the ones it works on doesn't show complete or accurate data...
The good news is that the current report has been loading quickly (at least for me) instead of grinding away for long minutes.
Some people seem to have trouble seeing the past reports. Note that they require you to have the (free) Microsoft Excel Viewer installed on your computer.
I agree with all the other complaints: it's annoying that we can't see yesterday's sales, and working with the Excel spreadsheets of past months is a pain because they scroll off the side of the monitor (and can't reasonably be printed, as someone pointed out).
