Table of contents doesn't work after converting from Mobipocket

I have a few ebooks in Mobipocket format. I uploaded them and previewed them - they appear to be fine except that the table of contents links don't work anymore.
Is there a table of contents links feature in Kindle? Or is this just a bug when converting from Mobipocket?

Thanks

That style of ToC is not currently supported by DTP.

Help please. What style of table of contents is supported? My upload worked great by the way. I used Adobe Acrobat to save a pdf file as an html file and previewed it in Front Page. Thanks.

We suggest using a Table of Contents with HTML anchor tags. An example is here -- http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/links.html#h-12.1.1

Can you tell us how to tag the table of contents so the Kindle menu option:
"Table of contents" points to it?

The solution to my problem seems to have been to build the Kindle content as a mobipocket book and hook the table of contents up in the mobipocket system. If you use a PC, I imagine this is fairly simple with mobipocket publisher, available here:

http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/default.asp?Language=EN

If you use a mac, or other non-PC unix platform, it's covered here: http://guidoism.com/ in the entry "Create great looking ebooks for the Kindle".

Following his directions, you can.

Once you have your content in mobipocket format, uploading it through dtp seems to work nicely.
