Can somebody explain to me why (and how) Amazon decides that they will sell my books at an "average offer price" that is well below the list price? My book is not offered anywhere on the Internet, in hardcopy or ebook, for less than my list price. How do they come up with an "average" that is way below any other price? Are customers actually paying this lower price? I have the vague sensation of being cheated.

Amazon can offer discounts for anything sold on Amazon.

after all, it is their store.

You will still receive the royalties based on your list price. If you do not, then you need to contact customer services.
