I've been approached by storyfinds.com offering me a promotion for a small fee.

Does anyone have experience of promotions with this company?

Do they offer value for money?

If you used them, did you see any worthwhile results?

Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

Well, it seems no one has heard of them or dealt with them as my question has had 98 views and no comments.
I thought it seemed too good to be true!

Sorry, no never heard of them! To be honest, I think if a company of this nature were any good, they would be turning people away, not going after them for clients. After all, you don't get Bookbub and EReader news approaching writers, do you?

I totally agree, and my instinct was to ignore them, but I wondered if, by some slim chance, someone on here may have heard of them.

After doing more research I became even more suspicious and turned them down. I informed them of my decision not to take up their offer of the promotion, but they barged ahead anyway, without my agreement or payment, and ran a half-baked, unapproved, one day promotion that probably did my reputation more harm than good.

They then had the front to demand that I pay for it! So unprofessional!

Needless to say, I won't be paying for this scam.

Ya, I've used them, and they're OK. They post a very impressive 'book page' that covers your book, free. But that book page is not easily accessed from the site's home page. They include your title as a free or discounted eBook as a clickable link in a list at the bottom of the free books page. Then they include your free ebook as a small notice in their newsletter, and on their Twitter and Pinterest blast. All that's free. The paid feature has your book appear for a good chunk of space in the main body of the free books today page, with a link to your title's 'book page'. It's certainly worth it for the free promotion, and the small fee for the feature is also worth it. Why just assume they're scamming you, that's not the case.

Thanks for coming in after four years and shilling (AKA spamming) for this promoter. As if we don't have enough spam and zombie threads already...
