I clicked on the name of a forum poster and it brought up a list of posts from that person. I was surprised when the one I clicked on was from 2011. Is there a way to search for posts that old? When I use the Search All Forums feature, the oldest time in the Date Range is last year. I suppose choosing All as the Date Range might bring up old ones but it also brings up so many that searching through them would take forever. I'd like to compare the Forums of Today with the Forums of Yesteryear. I tried putting 2011 in the Search Term box but all I got was a bunch of posts with references to 2011 in the message. Also, does anyone remember when the forums started? (I don't even know when e-readers were invented.)

You can always do it through Google's advanced search:

https://www.google.com/advanced_search

Place a word or phrase in the second box that says: "this exact word or phrase." In the first box above it that says: "all these words" put in a particular year if you want to like 2011. (That doesn't always work for the year, but most of the results will be from 2011.) Then down under the heading "Narrow your results by" there's a box for pasting in the address of a "site or domain" to search. Put in the following:

https://kdp.amazon.com/community

It's ten times better than trying to use the forum's search function here. You can find anything through Google's advanced search. Once you do it, you'll never go back.

Thank you so much! I didn't know Google Advanced Search even existed.

Thanks, I was wondering the same thing. Now I can go check out the good old days.

You won't find much except the same old fussing and fighting. Some thing never change.
