This is the second day of my attempting to upload my zipped (as per the DTP Upload directions) file, only to get hung up on the conversion portion of the process. Last night it took so long that I finally shut down my computer and went to bed; only to have it still claiming to be converting the file when I restarted my computer today.
I deleted that attempt to add an item, started from scratch with "Add an item", only to get hung up at the exact same place as before. There is no way to cancel the upload and/or "conversion" to re-attempt once at this step either, apparently, other than deleting the item and trying again.
I use a Mac OX X (10.4.11) with the most current Safari browser. I've also tried it with the most current Firefox browser (for Mac) to no avail (the same problem occurs).
Same problem here. Have tried uploading previously uploaded texts that converted fine. It happens with text files, zips, pdf. I use firefox, safari, and ie - all have same problem. Thanks for your "expedient" service in resolving this matter.
not sure what the problem might be, but it's not mac specific - i use safari under OS X and have (knock on wood!) haven't had any troubles, although it's been a few weeks since i've monkeyed with any of my DTP titles...
When I checked to see if my file has converted, I now get this:
Cannot get conversion result. "
WTH? It won't let me click on the lit browse button either in an attempt to reupload.
ETA: It worked with Safari instead of Firefox; now I got this:
"Your document was successfully converted. We recommend that you preview the converted file by clicking the "Preview" button. The preview mode allows you to download the intermediate HTML markup of the converted file. Check out the Formatting Documents Guide to learn how you can modify and re-upload the HTML markup."
