First, the notice at the top: "Welcome to your new Bookshelf! We're testing an improved Bookshelf and hope you enjoy the new look. As we test, you may see this Bookshelf or the earlier version."
The main thing is that it looks different. I suppose we'll get used to it after a while. The functionality appears to be equivalent, though things seem to have moved a little.
I started seeing it two nights ago on my cell phone and it hasn’t reverted back to the old one. I’ve never seen it on my laptops. There is a note at the top that says they are testing. For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, try going through IE.
The word “live” by each book is in green, the price is in red, and instead of “store links” it says “view on Amazon” you click that and all the store links come up. As long as you’re familiar with the old way, you’ll be able to navigate it with no problem. When you click on a book it still takes you to the familiar upload pages.
Uh-oh, submitted dates are wrong on the new bookshelf. I first uploaded in Aug 2012 and Jan 2013. Does anyone remember the glitch that started around Nov 2013 and lasted a few months? Anytime you would republish your book, (maybe you added content or found a few typos), the system would pick up that submission date. On my product page you see the new submitted date, but on the bookshelf you see the original date. Being fairly new at this, copyright comes to mind. I don’t know, maybe there is nothing to worry about, but I’ll take a screen shot of the old bookshelf anyway.
Okay, I see the new bookshelf on my laptops now, and the original submit dates are there. Thank you, Amazon.
"It’s said that the shuffling of the cards is the earth, and the pattering of the cards is the rain, and the beating of the cards is the wind, and the pointing of the cards is the fire. That’s of the four suits. But the Greater Trumps, it’s said, are the meaning of all process and the measure of the everlasting dance." ~From The Greater Trumps by Charles Williams
I see the new bookshelf on my phone, and have done without change for the last two days.
I don't see it on my laptop, no matter which browser I use.
I'm not liking the pricing in red, for some reason my brain always associates red with wrong :/
And I don't like that every book not in Select has gotten a big yellow bar next to it screaming at me to edit my book. As if they're begging for it to be in Select.
Other than that, it seems workable.

My KDP account is more than four years old, yet I see the new bookshelf... (When I do see the new bookshelf, it says that sometimes we'll see it and sometimes we won't. Apparently, they're testing it out.)
