Sorting reviews by stars fail in IE but not Chrome?

I normally use Internet Explorer to monitor my book sales and reviews. However, for the past six days, sorting reviews by number of stars, or newest received, doesn't work for me. If I see a good review that I want to comment on, or to thank the reviewer, clicking on that also leads me to a blank screen using IE.

Is anyone else experiencing this using IE?

Firefox and Chrome browsers work properly to sort reviews by newest or by number of stars, but not IE for me, on two PCs. How about you?

IE is known for various issues, especially after updates. I've not used it in a couple of years.
I use Firefox.

I use Firefox.

I may have to use Google Chrome more in the future. I had a windows update last week, and Microsoft may have included something for IE. All was working well last week and into the weekend. I did a system restore back to before last week's national patch update, but the Amazon problem remained.

My sales have been tailing off after a huge month in August for a new book release, and I check my Sci-Fi series eBooks a couple times a day for fresh reviews and rankings. I tried a reboot, which restarted IE (naturally), but when I used my Amazon account on my work PC, it displayed the same effect for reviews (on my books and others). Other screen items on book pages seem normal. I decided it wasn't a display or internet security setting that I had changed by accident on my laptop.

It may not be Amazon's fault either, but they are the first place I inquired because my work PC is US Fed government owned, has a different version of IE, and was not updated last week. I was wondering if other IE users had observed this. Obviously, Firefox still works OK. Thanks for your reply Donna.

I just spoke to Amazon, and they say my problem is a browser problem. It worked Sunday, and for years before that, and did not work on Monday, and I made no changes. I have IE Version 11.0.9600.18015

Below the bar chart of my % of stars for my book's reviews, there is this line: "See all 85 customer reviews "

If I click on that, all I see is this: "Koban: A Federation Forged in Fire › Customer Reviews " and NOTHING else on the screen below that line. I should see all of the 85 reviews listed. For me this happens on ANY book on Amazon, and not just my own.

All I want to know from ANYONE on this forum is this: If YOU use Internet Explorer, and try to look at all the reviews for a book, DOES THIS BLANK SCREEN ALSO HAPPEN TO YOU?

IE has never played well with the KDP (or the DTP before that). I use Google Chrome. It's clean and excellent, though a few financial websites don't support it (I keep Firefox in reserve for those). I've never liked IE.

I think the answer to your question is obvious. Don't use IE. In addition to being riddled with errors and glitches, it's the least secure browser on the market.

Which of course is why my federal government furnished computer came with only IE installed. :-) And they have data compromises constantly!! :-( My Identity and credit are currently being monitored because of the millions of names the Chinese stole from an Office of Personnel Management computer in Washington DC (I feel so secure).

I have very limited ability to load alternate software on that GOV system, so in order not to have to switch back and forth between browsers, thus expanding my mind, I used IE on my own system. Its time to expand my horizons.

But, I'd still like to know if any of the people that looked at this thread use IE, and if their version misbehaves the same way for them on Amazon. I'm starting to feel paranoid that IE or Amazon is out to get me personally. ;-)

I use IE and have not had that problem. I have used other browsers for Create Space and some others. I'm not sure what your problem may be, I can see my reviews. Sorry, this probably doesn't help you. :(

Thanks Vicki. I don't know exactly what changed since my previous replies, and I noticed that it happened apparently JUST after YOUR comment above was posted! It's possibly magic, but I don't think it's that, and I don't think its a sudden fix applied to my laptop, or to Internet Explorer.

Without any apparent cause, Internet Explorer is suddenly working perfectly for me on Amazon! When I do EXACTLY what I was doing earlier today and all this week. It now works for my book's reviews, and for any other book's reviews, and I now can see all of the 4 star or only the 5 star reviews, or look at a specific review to make a Comment if I wish. NONE of those things worked for me just an hour ago. I might put this down to a sudden "fix" by Microsoft, but I'm more inclined to think it was my complaint to Amazon on the phone, or perhaps to someone at Amazon noticing this thread.

I'll thank whatever "lucky" event corrected my access to standard features using IE, and I will show that my question was answered. (I hope it stays answered.) ;-)

I've never had any trouble with IE or Chrome or Firefox, but I always use Silk on my Kindle Fire to interact with Amazon. Which makes sense, when you think about it. One thing I know from a 30+ year IT career: something is always going to fail somewhere. Which was okay by me, as it meant getting a much nicer paycheck than I got as a mechanic!

I spent 40 years in Air Traffic Control (half of that working traffic), then moved into working on the software the controllers needed to do their job more safely and efficiently. My experience was that "nothing could go wrong....go wrong...go wrong..." Now I write Science Fiction about things that did or could, go wrong...go wrong. That pays pretty good as well.
