My sales this month have ground to a halt completely. I usually do pretty well but this month has been awful so far and today a grand total of zero units is recorded. This is a bit worrying, to put it mildly. Has anyone else experienced the same distressing trend?

Mine ground a halt in June and so far I have only three sales this month, two on books I don't publicize at all, no KENP for over a week. You are not alone.

It's easy to be paranoid, but I wonder what is going on? This has happened since KDP revamped their reporting format. The new system is awful (imo) and has coincided with the collapse of my sales. I don't see how this can do anybody any favours.

The same with mine. Some reads and sales are converting but not what I would expect to see. Promos are not working, nor are ads, and this does all tie in with dashboard changes and KENP changes. As regards promos, I only use ams and goodreads. I am trying not to get paranoid either. I guess all we can do is hang in there and wait it out.

Exactly the same experience here. So no coincidence then.

I think there is a problem with the sales, reads, and ad reports. I haven't had a sale or read for three days which is highly unusual, especially since from my sales ranking changes I know I've had either sales or KU downloads. My AMS ads supposedly haven't had an impression for about a day, which I know isn't true.

I have tried querying Amazon about this, and they refuse to admit to a problem. This is their own profits they are damaging - I don't get it. Not the way to run a business, even a currently successful one.

I just checked my sales rankings on Author Central, and there is a notice saying that Amazon are having trouble updating sales info. Wonder if this is related.

Very likely. If they are doing a major overhaul of KENP for reasons I think we all know, it could take quite a while.

Just checked again and 7 sales is showing up as nothing on the bar chart and the Excel spreadsheet. Definite glitches.

Sorry, I should have said 7 sales (11 now) are showing on the bar chart but nothing on the royalties counter or the Excel spreadsheet.

The graph is for orders, not sales. Those orders will usually convert to sales within 24-36 hours depending on the country, but some may not (credit card declined, customer cancellation, etc.).

Been wondering about this too. Ever since August started my sales rank on my first book has been a little low. Not seeing the same pop from advertising and I was wondering if KU borrows are no longer counting as much as paid sales as far as the ranking? I also noticed that some of my numbers for the previous day were also changing, so there's at least some lag in reporting going on.

Normally the big Amazon snafu occurs in October. Maybe it's early this year.
