Dear Forum Members,
First of all Happy New Year 2017 to everyone !

Just to make it short and sweet, I would like to seek your advice on Policy of KDP to use a Logo of Brand, called Midnightcake ( Midnightcake.com ) which I would like to use for a Book I am going to write on Online Business Setup in India, which is based on Entrepreneurship Category, and explains how our own startup, which is into the online cake delivery and online flower delivery, got started from scratch, to the current level of making money and having presence in 200 cities of India. To give a great experience to the readers of this upcoming book, I was thinking to include the Logo of Midnightcake which is Registered Trademark. So wanted to know if it violates the policy or can be used any number of times we want to connect the user to the Brand anywhere in the middle of the article.

Since we wanted to focus on the Business domain of Midnightcake, which is more into delivery of cakes and delivery of flowers across India, most of the readers would be from Indian Geography, or may be at the max, the Indians who are residing outside India but are curious to know about such startup which can help them to send Cake to India using http://www.Midnightcake.com from the country they are living in, to wish their Friends and Family Members with just clicks.

Looking forward to hear from you, positively, and Thanks in advance. :)

You can help us directly also by contacting us or info@midnightcake.com

If you own the trademark, you can use it when and where you like. If somebody else owns it, you need permission to use it. Amazon doesn't care, either way, but it will take down the book if somebody complains you're using their property without permission.

Dear NJ,

Thank you so much for the answer,

Just wanted to know one more thing, is it valid and authorized to use the url of subdomain, of which the Trademark is Registered? I mean to say, we have Registered Trademark of http://www.midnightcake.com, but if in my book that I am planning to write, can I mention the link of its blog which is http://blog.midnightcake.com and does the e-book allow the user (the reader) to click on such hyperlink and redirect to that url in a browser which is outside Kindle App ?

Are there any norms of KDP on the number of times, I can use the url in a Book? or total number of external links, same or different, that can be used in an ebook.

Thanks in advance for all your support.

A url is fine, either main page or a subpage. But note that many Kindles do not have internet browsers and thus cannot follow a link.

You ask about how many url's are allowed. I'm concerned that you are planning a "book" that is nothing more than an ad for your business. This is not allowed on KDP. The book has to have value in itself. Good luck!
