Amazon is being informed of your thievery. You won't be paid for the books you stole and sold.

is she a thief to.

If she didn't get permission, yes.

But you still stupidly can't understand I'm talking about stories that aren't from literotica.

Are you illiterate? Is that why you steal instead of write?

Swolf, no use arguing with an idiot. The first line of what I posted...

Copyright Info:
All of the stories in this site are the property and exclusive copyright of their author(s).

Means that unless she got permission from every single author of every story she "published" (and we both know she did not do that) then she is guilty of theft.

Wow, Naheeeeeeeem

You certainly look like a sock puppet, having just registered today. And, similar to Cruz, you can't spell correctly.

Literotica stories are copyright to their original authors. Literotica cannot give permission for stories to be sold by other than the author although Lit authors do give permission for small excerpts to be used commercially by Literotica. This is in the form of no more than a few hundred words used in, e.g., "toy" or other advertsisements.

As for the link to Literotica 2 that you posted, the authors agreed. There is a whole thread on the Lit forums about those collections.

Maria, JP, N24 -- how many names do you have?

Exactly! Authors will often agree to have their works included in an anthology, to get exposure for their name.

naheem you are caught like a rat. Scam over. You put up 51 books in a few weeks. Probably all stolen from other authors like you stole from Carl East. Get a life.

Have you ever considered that Maria is the author of the other material and that she is working/publishing under a pen name? I think its dangerous to report these things, and could lead to libel or defamation lawsuits if your accusations are incorrect.

I was just reading the responses in this thread and I don't like it one bit. So I will try to bring some levity to this situation. Bear in mind, and in advance, I am not Maria Cruz (just want to throw that out there before the witch hunt turns in my direction).

It is absolutely, 100% wrong to make allegations such as these, and drag someone's name through the mud until the allegations are PROVEN true. I often write under a pen name and workshop my stories under a pen name until I am ready to publish. In fact, I will sometimes use a character's name from one of my books to work under.

Someone once dragged me through the mud when they googled my pen name and found that there was a book published using my name as a character and from then, went on to rake me over the coals before it was clarified that I simply like to workshop under a pseudonym then everything was pretty much forgotten and things went back to normal. But you cannot imagine how horrible it felt to - even for a moment, be accused of surreptitious behavior and having to clarify myself, have people doubt me for a while and refuse to workshop with me all because I'm shy and afraid of embarrassment and thus, wanted to obtain peer reviews under a pen name.

So we cannot assume without proof, much less broadcast this information without proving that it is true. It is wrong. How would you feel if you hurt this person without knowing whether or not she was plagiarising someone else's work? Contact the smashword author and notify them directly. If that person informs you that the book is unauthorized who knows, what if Carl East was the Plagiariser and not the other way around? Not saying that he is but...

I know Carl, and I know the other author this pirate stole from. They are both aware of what's going on, and Marie isn't one of their pen names.

My accusations are not incorrect. That's why 'Maria' has gone through their Author Central account and removed all the books in question.

Like a rat trying to hide its trail. Won't work. Amazon knows what's going on.

How was Maria able to access their author central accounts? Or do you mean, she accessed her own and deleted the books? She could easily access kindle and unpublish there as well.

If she is plagarising authors it is indeed a despicable act. But let's not get too superior here, you've notified the community and for that we all thank you, and will just need to know to be careful and watch our work. A person would have to be mentally disturbed or greedy to do such things as to steal someone else's material.

I used 'their' because I'm not assuming it's a female.

And 'Maria' IS plagiarising authors. There is no doubt about it. And we ARE superior to this piece of sh*t.
