Seriously. It's felt like I've been running over a 1200 baud connection lately.

Have the forums been slow for everyone, or is KDP just tired of my flagging spam?

The forum has always been slow for me, but that isn't KDP's fault, I'm on a connection worse than dial-up.
However, today seems worse...

For me, it's been slow for the better part of the last 6 months or more. I have to open multiple threads in different tabs and let them load in the background, if I want to get anything done.

I suspect it's related to post count, but I have no evidence to back that up. I do know that it's a server issue, and not a browser one, however. If I browse without logging in, it's reasonably fast.

The forum was crisp and snappy this morning, until I flagged about my 30th piece of spam. Then, response time rolled back into the dumper.

Amazing. Either the forum DB software is so old and decrepit that it can't handle too many deletes at a time (handle them well, anyway), OR the forum software is sophisticated enough to restrict its response time when users flag too much. But if it were that sophisticated, you'd expect it to be able to do something about the spam in the first place, right?

I have found that when I am logged in while reading the forums, things really lag.
When I delete the spam, I hit the back button to get to the next one to avoid the lag.
It is all a daily thing for me. Nothing new.

That happened to me, some years ago, and ever since I have just skipped over the spam.

Good luck! -- NJ
