Does anyone understand the reporting relationship between AMS Reporting and the Sales Dashboard. I have received some ebook sales via a CPC ad I am running, I am assuming that those sales recorded on the Advertising Report will eventually show up on my Sales Dashboard. Is that correct or is it the other way around?

In my experience over the years, Kindle sales showed up almost immediately on the Kindle reports, while CreateSpace sales showed up almost immediately on the CS reports. The first no longer seems true, though the latter does -- I just published a book and ordered a copy this morning on Amazon, and I see the sale on CS a couple hours later. Could be a coincidence of course. (That is, could have been a purchase notched earlier by someone else.)

Good luck! -- NJ

All data on the AMS dashboard are delayed. Impressions may take a few days, clicks can take a week or so, and sales are delayed by several weeks (sometimes more). Lately, however, a few folks here have mentioned some oddities with AMS, including the apparent appearance of paperback sales (!) on the AMS reports.

I have a similar question. Are the sales on AMS transferred to the KDP sales dashboard?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I think it's the other way around. Sales on the dashboard may appear, usually much later, on the AMS dashboard, providing that AMS thinks the sale was based on a click related to an AMS ad.
