I would like to publish a few of my poems/pieces just to get my feet wet so to speak. Thoughts? Are single pieces accepted here as well as a book?

It would probably be better to put them on a blog and maybe get some feedback that way. Poetry rarely sells well and I can't see anyone paying 99 cents for a single poem.

I'd say go for it... it's up to the reader if they read them or not. I will say that poetry books do not sell well on KDP. I have a backlog of original poetry that I wouldn't publish as an e-book, but there are websites out there for poets if "kudos" is enough of a reward "poeticious.com" for example.
All the best... Allan.

If you mean here, on the forum, certainly not. If you want to publish a book (which is the term Amazon and everyone else uses), then be advised there are minimal page/word limits, and poetry doesn't sell well. Far better to make a site and see if people are interested enough to read them. I doubt you'll get much interest, but if you want to try, go ahead.

A lot depends on the length of your poems. If your typical poems takes up 4 to 5 pages of a book, then you might get away with including 4 to 5 poems in a short 25 page book.

If you want to publish single poems why not consider publishing them as poetry cards on zazzle?

Single poems? No. The minimum price is 99c and people are likely to think they are getting more than one poem, fund they got only one, and so leave nasty reviews.

There are many site where you can post single poems for people to read for free, like Wattpad or DeviantArt.
