I'm assuming you got an e-mail. Reply, politely, to the e-mail, explaining things as you have here, and ask for clarification. Note that you may have to go a round or two of e-mails before someone who can really help you will get on this.
I'm not sure why bank codes would be involved in paying the AMS service, however. They usually want a standard 16-digit credit card number.
I had this happen. It was becaise I received a new card and hadn't activate it. I hadn't realized the old card was going to expire and the new card came in an envelope that looked like junk mail. Could this be a possibility?
