So far this is my slowest selling month in i dont know how long. Im glad its not just me. I need to get to work. I have two books almost finished, but ive been sitting around playing games on my android tablet...
Slow here down under too. Lovely weather though - clear crisp days, we just took a road trip south to Sydney looking for land to settle on and retire...
Was comical listening to the radio news as we drove with Kim the Jung-Un threatening sturm und drang....heard it all before in the 60's (Cuban crisis)
Arrived home and on Friday my son's wife gave birth to a baby girl...so he has two boys and one gal. Same age/sex ratio as his brother and his sister...other son has two girls with one baking...daughter gets married next month.
I'm convinced life is some sort of cosmic Ground Hog day...
With an occasional diversion into mayhem. I detect the Doomsdayers getting excited and stocking up on baked beans and ammo (morons all)
PS Joseph has the right attitude...I've just opened a red here...
Looking at the lifetime historical reports, it seems that May and August are the worst months of the year for me. This month has been doing better than expected so far, but only because I ran a promo last week that brought in a flood of ancillary sales.
Strangely enough, my August has been very good so far (mind you, my numbers are not in the same league as most of the posters on this forum).
I attribute this temporary success to the fact that on July 26th I gave away on the KDP Free Download Program every one of my 39 novels and 2 essays.
Only a few reviews have been posted since that massive giveaway, but clearly a few folks read what they got for free and decided to sample a few more of my "treasures".
In my view, these results demonstrate that there are some advantages in employing the free download option on Amazon.
No doubt your numbers will suddenly improve and August will in the end turn out to be a normal month. Good luck.
I have readers all the time. Then again I'm very busy doing things online and this builds exposure. I"m out there every day reading things online and posting answers. I'm very social when it comes to online presence. Have a great day everyone. Enjoy the rest of your summer months.
I do calls for a well-known charity for our military veterans.
Out of 600 calls, the usual total of 'YES' replies is 25 to 36 (sometimes more).
This current project has yielded 7. SO it's not just the zon in a pinch.
July was the best month I've had since starting on zon. To date, August sales are surpassing July, but there is still more than half a month to go. I have been doing more promotion lately than in the past
I managed to sell two, yesterday one each of the series. So one guy's bought 'em both, allegedly. That's s first . . . but my free promotion today for two books has not yet born fruit . . . .that's a first too. One I can do without . . .

I'm selling about 50-60 copies a day, but I actually have no idea if that's good or not, I literally put out my first book 2 weeks ago :P what's a good average sale for this month?
50 to 60 books a day will get that book ranked in Amazon's top 2000. As SunRider is ranked at about 2.5 million, its daily sales are just a tad short of that.
