This is my first published book and have started with my personal network of friends, acquaintances, etc to garner a few reviews. Now the reviews are starting to come in. At least one reviewer contacted me to say she read the book and posted a review. She got the book from Amazon. It's been a week since she posted. And it hasn't appeared. Amazon says they post reviews within 48 hours. I'm about to expand to larger networks to promote the book, maybe even using Amazon's promotions, but I wanted a few reviews first. What could be wrong?
I just checked community guidelines. There is nothing about "friends or acquaintances" posting reviews if they bought the book. There is a problem if more an one person in a household posts a review. Where is this guideline you speak of?

Thanks, I'm finding that out about KDP. I went to High School with this "friend"
and haven't seen her in 30 years. Our only connection is Facebook. My God! Is KDP spying on my Facebook page?
If your FB page isn't passworded, the bots aren't spying--they're just scanning publicly-available info. And, being bots, they're often not right.

It's still there. Friends and Family are not allowed to post reviews as they are biased.
