I have already tried that, but no joy.. ... The trouble is that the second Amazon/Kindle account is a valid account, even though it has the same NAME (e-mail addy) as the FIRST one.
Changing password just affects the SECOND account, but makes no difference to the FIRST, which is the one which has Sue's books loaded on it. (Ws still don't know the password to the FIRST account, but = presumably ? - will be able to 'reset' that if we can get rid of the (default) second account ?
These electric boes are too confusing for an old codger like me !

Thanks, friend ! We are both dozy 'seniors'.
I had her 'dashboard' on my computer (showing the books), but couldn't edit them because neither of us could remember the password !
We tried changing the password through the 'password help' facility, but now I can't even SEE the books on the 'Dashboard', which says that more author details are required, and that books will reflect on that dashboard when she uploads one Where have the 7 books from the last dashboard gone ? ... They are still visible on Amazon/Kindle. (Google 'Kulalabuloo')
Go to your browser. Under tools you will see options. You will see passwords. Open it to show passwords. Then be sure to close it.
And be SURE not to let the browser fill in a password for you. Wipe out anything it fills and enter the password manually, or through cut-and-paste. You need to do this correctly at least once for the browser to pick up the correct password.
