I know that the reviews along with sales of course help your rank and I have had over 100 copies sold in my first book but only 11 reviews. How can I encourage more reviews?

Melanie, 11 reviews for just over 100 sales is very productive.

I have 9 books, published over 5 years and they have had good sales, but I'd estimate I received 1 review per 120 to 130 sales of eBooks (1,293 total written reviews over all 9 of my eBooks). I have more ratings than reviews at Goodreads (6,896 ratings for the same 9 books), but written reviews there are far fewer. Amazon makes reviewers SAY something, and most readers don't want to do that. Over time, I think the volume of positive reviews helped my sales, by attracting buyers to my first books (I wrote a series).

For some reason, audio books garner more ratings and reviews per sale, at least for me. With 41,915 sales as of today, I have 8,137 ratings on Audible for the 9 books (but far fewer written reviews). I think many reviews on Audible, with most being positive, certainly help my sales.

Good luck, and continued positive reviews.
