My look inside sample is weirdly formatted with the text centered and spaced out, making it annoying to read (according to two people who chose not to purchase my story because of the weirdly formatted sample), but the formatting of the ebook download itself seems fine to me. What am I doing wrong? Do the margins in the Word document need to be set to a certain size for an ebook?
If you go to the Formatting forum, you'll find innumerable posts about using Word as a formatting tool (as opposed to a magic typewriter) and Look Inside issues. In a nutshell, the Look Inside will reveal Word formatting errors that are suppressed during the conversion process. Generally, the answer to most issues is better formatting. Good luck.
