Just publishing a paperback and the printing costs are listed as £4.07, yet with the book priced at £8.99 and 60% royalties the amount I get is just £1.32. At £1.32 from 60% royalties, this makes 100% royalties £2.20. Now £2.20 plus printing cost of £4.07 totals £6.27, not £8.99 so where is the missing £2.72 (£8.99-£6.27) going? Is there yet another charge from Amazon kept hidden from us? It can't be postage as they add that to the price anyway?
Just wondering...

Hi Bradstone,

The calculation should read -

£8.99 x 60% = £5.39

Less publishing costs = £4.07

Royalties payable = £1.32

Does that help?
