This can't be real. I can't believe that these responses are sanctioned by any company.

I have read this post, my Name is Dane Marks and I am the writer of Think Money, Get Rich on amazon. The book is selling quite well anyway but I mainly use it as an extended tool for my talks and coaching. But I would be interested if this company can increase sales, so I will place 2 order with my paperback and my kindle and report back how it goes. I Think that's what people searching want to really know. Thanks Dane.

My experience with BB was not good. I purchased the Silver 50 with 50 "guaranteed sales". Had one borrow and no sales over the whole week. I'm still waiting for a reply from these bozos as to how the "refund" works. I doubt I'll ever hear. Save your money. Go with a real promo shop.

My ecxperience with them is excellent.
From the first moment they advised very well and understood what I needed. I have been working with them since 2015.
Their advertising fees are reasonable and the number of books sold make sense.

However, when they guarantee a number of sales, they do it if the pomotion is run with a price of 0.99$. Seems many authors miss this point.

Each time we didnt reach the goal they rerun the advertising again and again, for as many times as needed until the goal was reached. In one case there was one of my books that didnt sell again and again in spite of advertising, I offered them to change it another title that sells all the time and that was a great success.

They have always responded to my concerns.

In the next few days I will run for the first time a paperback promotion.

Mine was too. I'm not sure what's causing problems for others. One thing I noticed is that I was still getting sales a month later when I had no other promotion going. I'm sure it was Butterfly because those sales I speak of came from Australia, UK, Brazil, and other countries where I certainly haven't advertised on other ad platforms. (Gosh, it felt so good knowing people from other countries were reading my book).

Disclaimer: I'm not claiming that my book has had astounding sales on any type of advertising. It's a turtle rather than a hare. I'm grateful for all sales and reads.

Issue with Mr. Graves was resolved in Aug (Aug 20th)

8% of $0.99 book promotions miss. That's just a fact of life when promoting mostly new indie authors

In this case book missed by a lot, which suggests book is not a good fit for our readers. It happens, albeit rarely (in 1% or so of our $0.99 book promotions)

Author preferred cash refund so we've done cash refund. Refund is normally only in store credit. For some cases, at our discretion, we do cash refund. A case like this where there seems to be no product market fit between the book and our readers

Author emailed us 9th.
We responded within a few days (by 12th). author let us know on 17th he'd prefer refund and we did refund on 20th. Responding via email takes a few business days - so it's slow (email tag with a day to 3 days delay each round)

If you want a faster response just visit the website and try live chat, or just call us up at 1-844-WE-PROMOTE. that's instant

Yes, the Books Butterfly guys tried to scam one of our authors. We made some research, not in the US as they claim. They are somewhere in India or Pakistan. the phone numbers are apparently routed to their cell phone and they wanted to get access to our sales dashboards. If they want to guarantee an amount of sales, then it is their responsibility to provide an accurate sales report. Good luck! I would avoid them.

Wait seated, when talking about refunds they are mute. I can't understand how they guarantee an amount of sales, this is impossible unless you have the appropriate tracking tools which they don't have. I was asked to stop all promotions to only have theirs running. They said all the sales were to attribute to them, yeah sure!

My experience with Books Butterfly was unimpressive. During the first three days of my promotion I only sold 1 book that might have been attributed to their program. Then again, it could also have been from my efforts to tell everyone that my book was discounted to $0.99. I should have spent my money with Book Bub.

I've tried them a couple of times now. The first time, it seemed like I was getting results; the second time, not at all. Their Web presentation is so funky, it's hard to take them seriously. Why would readers ever bother searching them, assuming they could find them online? BookBub is super expensive as an advertising vehicle. Targeted ads on Facebook are cheaper and, for my money, effective. My ads are not paying for themselves, but I am recording some sales -- both Kindle and/or paperback -- daily, and controlling daily spending to minimize my losses. I am fortunate because I can afford to absorb these advertising costs in my never-ending search for more readers.

Hi Steve.
I just looked at your sales rankings and you must be doing something right with promotions and advertising.

Just as a side note, we might've been your first customers last December. I think everyone in my family has read your (print version) book and we've all thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, I've used it as a resource a couple of times, even though it's considered fiction. Very well done.

These people are total BS. They are located in India. I signed-up for a promotion and paid $150. Never received a confirmation and never saw any sales. Forget them.

1) Magic Masterminds

We are a Canadian Company - 7 Dragons Inc, headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Here is the official Corporations Canada page - https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/cc/CorporationsCanada/fdrlCrpDtls.html?corpId=7349513

We also have a US sister company, Final Fantasy, based in Delaware

We are not an Indian or Pakistani company and we do not have any subsidiaries in any country other than Canada and US

*************************************

1b) We have worked with the author multiple times. We have had no dealings with you. Author had store credit for 13 missing sales and author reported 7 sales to us. Author was completely OK with store credit until you jumped in (not quite sure why, or in what capacity). As we have no business dealings with you I'm not sure why you are claiming we are an Indian company or that we tried to trick the author. The author has worked with us multiple times and he would not be returning to work with us if he was unhappy. Author is OK with store credit and we will work with him to get him remaining sales

*************************************

1c) Just to be clear to everyone reading this - we never had any business dealing with Magic Masterminds. And the author she is referring to is a repeat customer and was OK with store credit until this lady jumped in. To us, whether author wants to say - I want store credit for 13 sales, or author says - I want store credit for 20 sales. Either is fine - as long as it is the author who paid for the service talking to us and not someone else

****************************************

1d) We have a toll free number in the US (so that authors don't have to pay) and that is routed to my Canada number and I Use it sometimes through my iPhone and sometimes through Skype. Depending on where in the US or UK or Canada or Australia you are the connection will sometimes not be great

***********************************************

2) for Randy Lindsay

Randy, if your book sold just 1 copy you can contact us with screenshots and we can do prorated refund in store credit

Here is rank tracking for your book: http://trackmyrank.com/B075JTHK28/
Promotion was 16th to 20th with sales on 16th to 21st
It was promoted in Kindle, Nook, Apple, Kobo and sales from all stores are counted

92% of $0.99 book promotion hit the target or exceed it. Only 8% miss. Children's books are quite erratic and they miss more often than 8%

***********************************************

3) Steve Shender,

We have 5.1 million readers and are also growing very fast - over 1 million+ new readers a year

The Proof page has screenshots and proof - https://www.booksbutterfly.com/bookpromotion/bookmarketing/proof-4-million-readers/

If your book didn't sell the second time, that's unfortunate. In that case you can contact us. For $0.99 books there is store credit. For books over $1 we can run it again as a courtesy at a busier time. Generally, second time running the book won't get as good results as the first time, especially if you don't leave a gap of 4 to 6 months

*****************
3b) This is rank tracking for the most recent promotion we ran for you - http://trackmyrank.com/B01N7IMIQI/

It was Aug 21st to Sept 21st - a month long promotion

It went from below 450,000 to 63,739 on Day 1 & 2
Week 2 it went as high as #27,281
Week 3 it went as high as #14,708
******************************************

4) For Yvon Douran

a) We are a Canadian Company located in Montreal, Canada

Here: https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/cc/CorporationsCanada/fdrlCrpDtls.html?corpId=7349513

b) We also have a US Sister company located in Delaware
c) We do not have any subsidiaries in any country other than US or Delaware. We do not have any India branch (perhaps in the future as India is a very exciting marketing for ebooks)

d) I'd specified to you on Live Chat that $4.95 is not a good price for a Children's books and suggested either not buying a package or getting the smallest one (Release Gold for $70). You instead got the 7 Day Push for $150. To try and compensate for the relatively high price of your $4.95 Children's Book we ran it 13 days instead of 7

However, it didn't work

We're happy to run some other book for you, or run this same one again at a more reasonable price ($4.95 for a 32 page Children's book is a hard sell - the reason why I'd specified on Live Chat that it won't sell)

e) We had sent payment confirmation and terms to you - Aug 12th and 15th. You had purchased I think on Aug 10th. Your promotion started Aug 15th. We send emails from twin accounts to ensure at least one reaches
*****************************

5) For Authors in General

We are a Canadian Company (founded 2010 - https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/cc/CorporationsCanada/fdrlCrpDtls.html?corpId=7349513) with a US Sister Company (founded 2007)
We've worked with Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and sold over 1.35 million Paid Apps through these two companies - earning nearly $1.5 million dollars
We've earned over half a million dollars in affiliate income through these companies from Amazon alone
Our US accountants are in Florida and our Canadian accountants are in Montreal, Canada

We are 100% legitimate and 100% Canadian and US. Those corporate tax dollars are going into infrastructure and services right here in North America. and we pay between 15% and 33% depending on how a year goes. No Cayman Islands and no Double Dutch Sandwich and No Luxembourg and No Ireland Tax Dodges

We've worked with authors since July 2014 and all sales and business dealings are as a Canadian Company and a US company and never a company in any other country. We follow all rules and regulations to the letter. To ensure that we are on the same page as authors we have a Terms and Refund Policy Page and we also emails authors Terms before promotion starts

2 of these 3 authors are for Children's Books. It is not a big genre for us. We had specified beforehand all the terms that apply. Some books miss - that's the nature of book promotion

Vast Majority of authors who work with us are happy. Dispute rate is less than 1%. in fact, cancellation and dispute rate combined, for last 6 months, is less than 1%

The following books do not do well with us - YA (except for YA Romance), Children's Books, Fiction under 150 pages, Non Fiction under 50 pages, Poetry, Short Stories. So please avoid us if your book falls into these categories

*******************************************************

7) Actually, it's our mistake and we take 100% responsibility

For Ms. Douran - Instead of saying - a $4.95 children's book won't sell and if you must try, try only the smallest package,
we should have just refused to run the book

For the Magical Mindset Lady, when this lady, who we had no business dealing with, jumped in, we should have just asked the author that we will only talk with the author and not engaged at all with this lady

You live and you learn
