I want to price the first book of a series at $0.00 so that I can use it to interest people in the series. How do I do that? I have it at $0.00 on Barnes and Noble and several other sites. Does Amazon price match?

Sometimes, Not always. In my experience, it's fifty/fifty, but then I only have two such teaser books, so that may not be valid across the entire spectrum of experience.

I have also received an email from Amazon telling me to raise the price elsewhere or remove the book from the KDP. (I raised it.) So perhaps I should say it works one time out of three, though that was a bit different -- the book was $4.99 on Amazon, $3.99 elsewhere.

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook.)

Good luck! -- NJ
