I was contacted by some publishers in Japan and they would like to translate and publish my book in Japan with these conditions,

My queastion is:

1. Is it against my agreement with Amazon and KDP and CReateSpace if I enter a contract with them?
2. Is above offer good or not?

Condition:

Rights: Japanese translation rights in hardcover and e-book formats

Terms:
An advance of US$3,000.oo against the following royalties:
<Hardcover rights> 6% up to 3,000 copies sold, 7% up to 6,000 copies sold, and 8% thereafter.
<E-book rights> 25% of net receipts.
*All terms are subject to deduction of our 10% agency commission and 20.42% withholding tax (reducible to 0% upon submitting necessary documents for tax relief. We will send you a detailed instruction when we reach an agreement).

First print run: 3,000 copies planned for hardcover edition
Retail price: JPY 1,800 planned for hardcover edition.
Publication limit: within 18 months from the contract date.
License validity: 7 years from the contract date.

I would be wary of publishers seeking deposit. The offer is from a 'vanity publisher'. Many of them will approach you by mail and on phone.

This does not look like a vanity publisher, because they are offering money to Amin, not the other way around.

I'd take the $3000 and be happy, because it's an advance, where they give you money upfront no matter how many you actually end up selling, and it's hard to get any money at all for a translation.

Because it's a different language, it doesn't make any difference to KDP-Select, and Amazon doesn't care about other print editions anyway. Good luck!

That's amazing! And the deal seems great, good luck! May I ask who the publishers were?
