Hi Everyone.
Currently working on paper back edition and have marginally changed title and comments on back cover.
As I understand it e books can be altered on goingly. Of course hard copy requires another book.

Does my e book have to be identical with the paper back version? I had planned maybe a new chapter to hard copy.
Seem to be stuck on content issues and review......... any advice appreciated.
Cheers-----Paul.

The ebook and paperback don't have to be identical, but if you're adding a new chapter to the paperback, why not add it to the ebook version as well? It's easy enough to do.

If you bought a hardback, liked it and then your friends ordered digital copies per your recommendation, would you expect them to be the same?

They should have the same content, yes. If you have good reason to make them different (for example, using web links to get better reproduction of a map in the ebook, or omitting a photo in the print edition because it's not high-enough resolution), that's perfectly acceptable.

I update my ebook more frequently than the print edition, so I use the Matchbook feature to make the ebook free to anyone who bought the print edition on Amazon.

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook.)

Good luck! -- NJ
