I've decided to start freelance editing again, only for it to dawn on me that aside from sites like Upworks (where I found my own editor) I have no idea where people go to to find this service. Do you all scour sites like Upworks? Do you look for an editor with their own page who has basically hung out their single for work? Or do you try to hire/rope in someone you know? Clearly I'm asking because I'm trying to figure out where to advertise and/or look for projects, but I thought this might be a good thread for those looking for sources too.

So, where did you find your editor?

I picked three from those that author friends recommended, based on their genre experience, and asked for a sample edit from each. I then narrowed it down it to one, and I've stuck with her since.
