Would you pay for it if they accepted your book?

Has your book ever hit a bad patch? And if so recovered?

I was selling well...well since I started three months ago and hit a bad patch recently. Funny enough it was after some advertising....lol?

Anyway, doesn't strike me as a slow down, but rather a steep fall for no reason. Since I was accustom to thousands of page reads per day which meant lots of borrows and between 5-10k in rankings for three months. I prefer long legs than short hops.

I did mess with my cover...lol again. Put back the original.

Thoughts?

After 90 days, your book falls out of "Hot New Releases." This may have happened to you.

Promotion of one kind of another is needed to keep a book selling. ENT has a decent track record--I've used them several times. I generally don't quite break even on the promotion at the promotional price, but there's a long tail of sales of my other books. Paid promotions work best if you have multiple books, so if someone buys and enjoys one at the low-low price, they are likely to pick up your other titles too, even at full price.

Thanks, good insight on the three months. Mine ended in November 1st. To be exact. That's when the fall off came. :)

ENT is my second-best performer in terms of ROI, second only to Bookbub. They don't do as well as they used to 2-3 years ago, but they're still better than the other promo sites.
