Hi I have written a book in poetry about my feelings and silly little imaginative poems to go with it, it's called my life in poetry and other poems on Amazon I was wondering if any of you would like to have a read and let me know what you think of it. And any feedback would be brilliant.
I'm aiming to do book no.2 which will be poetry in others eyes. And maybe a biography about my life. What you reckon? And will it all be a good idea? I love writhing.

Thanks

Writing is a great way to put one's ideas and feelings into words. Poetry can be a good approach.

But most people who write very personal poems keep them private and personal. They are meaningful to the author but may not be to those who have different ideas and feelings. I think this is why books of poetry sell extremely poorly.

So I'm glad you've been able to express your ideas, but I'm afraid that few people will ever want to buy your book. Sorry.

The only genre that is harder to sell than poetry is biographies about unknown people so don't quit the day job just yet.
It's good to know you like writhing but I'm not sure I want to know the context :-)

Thank you for your reply, would you like to read the book and see what you think of it? Will be great to know your feedback?
Much appreciated for your reply.

In honesty to have my book published it the biggest achievement ever as I didn't think they were that good but to have a book out there is something to be proud off.

Nice cover, but too expensive. If you want to reach an audience, lower the price. I could read your poems and there are a lot of readers who might pick up your book .

The two commenters below seem to be giving good advice. ...and I believe YOU are going to need to jump up your estimation of your work. Your estimation of Your work seems to be, it is weak and Unimportant.

2.99 for kindle or free download i reckon reasonable it's worth a read. The poems are written in a way for people to gel that situation I've had good comments about my poetry. 2.99 isn't expensive in my opinion

What do you mean about the esitmantion? Could you explain either please? I'm a first time publisher didn't think my poems were good until I went through a poem competition and got a poem published. Everyone loved my work. Getting a book published is more achievement then anything else. Paperback is coming soon

Well here it is Nov 10, 2016, how has it worked out so far ?
My book "Slick Driver" has sold very well considering, no name recognition, no promotion and Front cover that is not engaging or titillating.
I am going to do a before Turkey day promotion (lol), then start final writing on another book I have hatching.
Good Luck Rebecca , I hope I see your efforts on the Best selling list

Late to the thread, obviously. But RE pricing, what we authors may think is an appropriate price for the content of a book, and what the buying public may think of it can be two different things altogether.

Any time you're dealing with a marketplace you have to consider whether your price matches the actual demand.

Good luck with your book sales. I know it is rewarding just to get a book out there for the public to peruse, and hopefully buy.
