You could go traditional publishing and wait either 6 or 12 months. :(

Seriously, 2 months is pretty good. It allows for returns and adjustments and fixups (in case there are errors), so by the time you receive the funds, you can be pretty sure that further adjustments won't be made (and applied to future payments).

Exactly. Those of us who've come here from traditional publishing understand what a gift it is that we only have to wait for two months to be paid. When I was trad pubbed, not only was I paid just twice a year, but I never knew how much money I'd made until the check showed up in the mail. Those were some nail-biting days!
