Michael,

I've checked and it's available on the mobile app in both the uk and com stores, as well as in both via my laptop.

If you don't mind my asking, why have you priced your book so high for 19 pages? Wouldn't you have a wider reach and hopefully wider impact if you priced it more realistically?

I applaud what you are doing, as I personally support several veterans charities in both the UK and US every month out of my book earnings. I send something to a US charity every month who work towards eradicating veteran suicide, so your book resonated with me.

I'm not sure whether your income goes towards the charity whose name you posted or not, but I think it would do more good to sell 20 copies at a lower price and help 20 families directly, rather than sell 2 copies and make a few dollars more for a charity.

Just my thoughts.

Best wishes and much respect. J

My question was relating to my cellphone not annotating the E-book and its availability. As for the pricing, thanks for the input but the price is not because I choose to pursue an inflated profit, it is because, even with contacting in time for the misprint on the cover, I was unable to convince the correction to be made. As for your concern about page amount, it is important to condense as much as possible into a one sitting read; for veterans considering suicide this may be a last hope pursuit and I will not waste time telling war stories. So, as for your judgement before reading, I take offense. I am as my back cover reads and hope to make more than a dent in reducing the current veteran suicide rate. Check out my website at http://veteranwellnessefforts.org.

Michael,

I'm perplexed as to why you chose to take offense at anything I said, as I think I make it clear I have every respect for what you're trying to achieve. Possibly you've had criticism elsewhere, and transferred it to my post.

I read every word that was available in your LI with interest, and had the book been priced at around $2-3 would have bought it without hesitation. However, my money is already committed to the two charities I support. I have friends who've served, and now have friends whose children serve, and have watched them go through multiple deployments to Godforsaken places. Sadly, I've also had experience of losing a close family member to suicide.

My suggestion of lowering the price was so that you could reach more people, not because I thought you were trying to line your pockets.

I also don't take issue with the length of the material either. It's what you say in those 19 pages that counts. You could have 190 pages, and it still might not reach people. The important thing is that you reach people at all.

I hope that clarifies, but would caution you that you are likely to get similar suggestions from other people. It might be a good idea to practise being a little less defensive. Suggesting and criticising are two completely different things, a fact I learned very quickly after becoming a published author.

Again, my best wishes. I hope your book helps.

You're in competition with 5,000+ PTSD books that have professional covers and realistic prices, most of them written by credentialed and well-known experts. Despite your good intentions, potential customers will judge you in comparison to those others. You can do whatever you want with your pamphlet (after all, you're the publisher in this game), but you're not going beat the competition by ignoring the realities of the marketplace or by attacking those offering good suggestions. Good luck with your project.

Indeed, just us writers and publishers here. For account-specific questions it's best to use the Contact Us button at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately, they don't have phone service for us. Reply time is usually one day, but apparently they've been stressed and stretched lately by updates, new programs and glitches. Again, good luck.
