I am thinking of setting up a sponsored products ad campaign to promote my kindle book. I am asked to select between "automatic targeting" and "manual targeting". Does anyone have any advice or experience on which of these two options might be the more successful? Many thanks !

Search the forums for "ams advertising". For me, manual targeting was far more effective. However, I haven't run any campaigns recently--the system is simply too saturated for my budget.

You do NOT want automatic. Choose Manual where you can add keywords.
NOTE: You can change the cost per click. I think usually it shows .25 per click. I lower it to .02 (2 pennies).
