Advertising Campaigns – Conversion rate?

I just started my first Advertising Campaign and I get a coversion rate of about
10000 impressions --> 60 Clicks --> 2 Sales

I guess thats pretty miserable but I would like to have some comparison to others!
So what are your rates?

(one of the reasons for this poor performance my be that I do not have any review yet
So, second question: how do I get to reviewvs?

Did you mean the rather unusual verb "Housewive" instead of "Housewife"? That does look odd to me, and why is there no apostrophe in "Henrys" (ie "Henry's")?

That alone would stop me from clicking "buy" ...

The book puzzled me. Confusing titles and blurbs don’t usually convert to sales.

Different ads get me different conversion rates.

Your Clicks to Impressions ratio is good, from everything I've ever read. Most will say that a ratio of 1:1000 is good. You're getting 6:1000. Your Sales to Clicks is pretty bad though, unless you're only paying 0.02 cents per click. Still, if you aren't getting a sale from every 10-20 clicks then something is wrong with your ad and as others have pointed out, it's probably your cover or your blurb. It may also be that your book is in the wrong category. Now, you got 2 sales out of 60 clicks, so that's not woefully bad. It shows that there is some interest in your book, but something is stopping the masses from buying it.

My take? It's all of the above and then some. The cover does NOT inspire me to even want to look at the page. If I saw this book come up as an ad in the Sponsored Titles carousel, I wouldn't be inclined to even give it a second look. But, let's suppose I got crazy and clicked on the ad and ended up on your book's page. Reading the blurb gives me no reason to buy the book. I come away wondering what the book is about, and if that's the case, the blurb didn't really do its job.

Now comes the death stroke. I've been suckered in by the cover and can't for the life of me, figure out what the book is really about from the blurb, so I click on the Look Inside link. Looking at the author's hand drawn pictures just about causes me to close the LI immediately, but I persevere and read on. But, the formatting and the writing style leave me completely bewildered about everything except for one thing. That I have no desire to read any further and I close the page without ever considering spending one dollar to buy the book.

Now, I'm sure you think you've written the best book since God wrote the Bible, but very few, if any are going to want to read it. You may have done this already, but if you haven't, you need to read books by Erma Bombeck, Lori Duff and others that write about the "joys" of family life and raising kids. I mean, who wouldn't want to read a book called The Grass Is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank or You Know I Love You Because You're Still Alive: Confessions of a Middle Aged Working Mom ? I look at HOUSEWIVE HENRYS REPORTS FROM THE COLOSSAL CAPITAL and I don't get the same "gotta have it" vibe.

In the words of Postmaster Kevin (MIB II), "This is an example of go home and do it again."

I'm sorry if I'm being blunt and it isn't my intention to scare any writer away from being a writer. But, if you seriously want to get your words out there and have people read them, they need to stand up against the greats in your category. Hate to say it, but yours don't. Unpublish your book, grab a few titles from the category that you want to invade and read those. Enroll in a creative writing course at your local community college and hope that it's the kind of course where the instructor doesn't just tell you whether your story is good or bad, but also whether your writing skills are up to snuff. Go to DeviantArt dot com and pay some kid $25 for a piece of art that would look good as a cover on your book. Don't pay any more than that because with the kind of message you're trying to get across with your cover, $25 is more than enough to get something usable. Rewrite your blurb, post it to kboards dot com and get some feedback on whether it is any good or not. In other words, make your book look like something I can't live without reading. Right now, I don't see it.

The only metric that really matters with AMS is the ACoS. if the ACoS is below your royalty rate*, you're making money. If it's above, you're losing. Simple.

*More or less, depending on delivery charges, etc.
