After publishing my very first book in paperback, I also created my very first book trailer, after understanding the potential of a book trailer. I used some free videos and a music track with creative common licence to make one. I am looking for some honest feedback on this 2-minute trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E76WsCFyjio
Tinkerbell , You said 'It says "science agrees with Buddha on many things" but don't say what it agrees on.'.. That is the subject of the book, so it is actually revealed in the book. Do you think I should have worded it differently?
C. Gold , thank you..Yes, you are right.. I felt the text flashed very quickly too. But I was also concerned if this problem is there in the whole first part of the video. Thanks for the clarification.
It's too wordy even for a print blurb. Either use the visual aspect of the medium to convey part of the blurb, or reduce the imagery to only the most appealing and edit the text to the essential points.
The ISS and end flyover shots are nice. Add one or two more like that with simplified text. Also, don't place video text over your book cover, it gives it a sense of insignificance. Instead, display the book cover prominently so the viewer can see it as they learn where to buy the book.
