For the Record: I just re-posted The Innkeeper's Nephew. Completely re-edited with some re-write. Feedback on cover and look inside welcome.

You need to choose a different format for your Table of Contents (TOC).
The text pages also need to be justified.
I would add a space between chapter headings and the text.
I like the cover but would do away with the sword. It is confusing when looking at it in a thumbnail. If you really want to keep it, I would move it between the book title and your name, putting your name at the lower end.

Thank you for the feedback. I can tell you what you see is not what I wrote:
The TOC is aligned and looks all right when viewed using the Kindle reader.
The pages are justified left and there is a space (6 pts) between the Chapter headings but although it looks much different in the LI it also looks fine when viewed with the Kindle reader.
As for the cover: I have tried your recommendations and like it. Look to see the new cover.

You need to do the TOC without those lines. If you are using Word, see the other options.

The pages are justified left

You want the pages justified so that both the right and left sides line up in a straight line. Word gives you four options. See the fourth.

and there is a space (6 pts) between the Chapter headings but although it looks much different in the LI it also looks fine when viewed with the Kindle reader.

You want a full space, at least. It is too 'tight'.

OK!

People will judge you by the Look Inside.

Again, you will be judged by the formatting errors revealed by the Look Inside

There is no such thing as "justified left." Text is either justified or It's not.
As for the cover: I have tried your recommendations and like it. Look to see the new cover.

You need to choose a different format for your Table of Contents (TOC).
Change TOC using Word software: Check! (looks good in Mobi although everything seems to be in small letters-I'll work on that later).

The text pages also need to be justified.
Justified the text pages (choice #4): Check! (Looks better on Mobi)

I would add a space between chapter headings and the text.

I like the cover but would do away with the sword. It is confusing when looking at it in a thumbnail. If you really want to keep it, I would move it between the book title and your name, putting your name at the lower end.
Already changed the cover.

Thank you very much for your assistance. Hopefully, the Amazon TOC will look as good as it does on Mobi. Now I will institute similar changes in the remaining two books. Note: book 2's cover is showing so any feedback on that is also welcome.

Actually writing the book has been the easiest part: getting it edited and figuring out how to make the software work has been the bear.

Thanks again
