I assume you're in Select. if someone borrows your book, your rank improves. However, you don't see anything under Reports until they start reading, when you start seeing the Pages Read. (Yes, I know reporting is slow right now.) Since KU members can have as many as 10 books on their Kindle at a time, they may not start reading yours right away. Good luck!

Can any of us imagine working for any other company, even on a freelance basis, that randomly cuts your income by as much as 90% for months on end, with no adequate explanation, warning or apparent amendment? It's obscene.

I have a question for the experienced authors here. On November 29, I did a free promo on 4 of my books to celebrate the release of the 5th book in the series. The promo ended that same day, it was a one day promo. The next morning, I woke up and there were about 20 free downloads on my graph for the 30th. For the life of me, I can't remember whether there are usually carryover free downloads due to time differences or whatever. Were those free downloads erroneously reported as free, when they should have been paid? I'm wondering whether they will eventually convert, or stay as free.

The last I checked, the Zon seems to consider 8AM California time as a start unless you opted otherwise. That would make at 8am the next day as an end.

KDP reports are experiencing issues and your sales or royalties may be delayed

This I also am getting - they need to sort this out urgently - ? - Not a good marketing example - hopefully they will sort it out soon - its this sort of thing that is killing the ebook market place, along with not brilliant marketing solutions on the KDP side - amazon.com and amazon.co.uk not sharing the reviews across each other isn't a help either. hoping they get this sorted out before Dec close 2017

I am thinking this might be more of a disappearing KENP issue again as I had a sale creep through two days ago. Either that or the delays are really bad. I would expect a few more sales to show but more importantly more pages read. As I don't use any of these dodgy sites and have not received an email anyway, it can't be that in my case. My guess is the screws are being tightened just in case. (Thank you, cheats!)

amazon.com and amazon.co.uk not sharing the reviews across each other isn't a help either.

Different stores with different preferences by readers.

I sent them an email today to complain about it and got the same sort of reply as everyone else:

'Hello,

I hope this email find you well.

I understand that you have some concerns, regarding your KDP reports issues .

I'm sorry for the trouble you had when viewing your report. Our technical team is aware of this problem and is working hard to fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience while we fix this problem. '

It's very disheartening as a newly published first-time author, or any other author for that matter! I wonder what could be taking so long to fix!

I got this response today:

'I'm sorry for the inconvenience that caused. Most of our publishers facing this problem and Our technical team is aware of this problem and is working hard to fix it as soon as possible.

Also for your information we are facing this problem only from last week, I checked your account and I can confirm that the prior weeks reports are updated accurately on your account. We will remove the notice tag from your reports once our technical team fix this issue completely but still the sales are updating with in 48 hours after the sale placed.

You may think that I'm repeating the same thing but this is the honest answer for your question. No sales data have been lost. We always monitor sales data and reporting carefully to make sure that the reports are accurate and up to date.

Thanks for your patience while we fix this problem.'

I should have read your post before my recent question. I'm sure they're working on resolving this latest issue. This is the first time I've experienced this.
