I just loaded a new book file after converting it in the Kindle Create software. The title of the book is Beguiled, by Allan Sankirtan. In the Kindle previewer, it looks fine. But in the tablet or phone previewer it shows the title of the book in the header as A Dream to Pursue, which is an old working title it picked up from the file properties. Is there any way I can change these properties or do I need to go back to square one and reformat and reload the file again?
It seems that be showing the correct title in the UK store. If you haven't already done so order your own copy and check it looks correct. What you are seeing may be a quirk of your computer which is somehow linking to the old file. However, I can't see the Look Inside on my tablet but that occurs with all books but if this is where the problem is I suggest using the Contact Us link and ask them to change it.
ASIN code is B07863ZH32 if anyone else wants to check.
Since it is on pre-order, I don't think you can upload a new version in time for Dec 22, but if you can, that's probably the best thing to do. And yes, I suspect you will have to start afresh with KIndle Create -- one of its limitations is that there's only a certain amount of editing you can do on your uploaded manuscript.
I don't think it's a ditch to die in, however. Not everybody will even notice it. If you can't fix it in time, just upload the new version as soon as possible after Dec 22.
(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook. Each does one thing well and the other thing poorly.)
