The royalty you set can be seen in your book set up page, the royalty you received for each sale in your reports tab.

Emily is speaking of the third tab or page in the KDP publishing process. If you don't know about royalties, check the Help pages so you will understand the system.

Speaking for myself, I price nothing under $2.99 and nothing above $9.99 (actually, nothing above $7.95). That's the range that qualifies for the 70 percent royalty. My books are cleanly formatted, so the download fee runs from 8 cents to 45 cents. My favorite price is $4.95 x 70 percent minus say 15 cents download fee equals $3.31 royalty. It sounds like riches but it won't even buy you a cup of coffee at the Sundeck on Aspen Mountain.

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook. Each does one thing well and the other thing poorly.)

Good luck! -- NJ
