OMG this has taken me forever to research! Does anyone know how I can advertise my Createspace print books on Amazon? I was hoping to be able to do something similar to the way I advertise my Kindle books. I even signed up for a seller's account but that's not what I want either because I'm not producing the books to send myself, Createspace is.

Basically, I want to be able to advertise a print book on Amazon, have the person click the ad, buy the book and the book is then produced and sent off by Createspace, not by me.

Can anyone help?! I've tried to contact Amazon and no one seems to have an answer for this. I've been transferred all over the place and haven't gotten an answer.

It's a digital world. AMS and all promotional services are oriented towards e-books. They have no interest in print. The only way an indie can self-promote a print book is the same way an indie self-promotes an e-book, by establishing and maintaining a significant social media presence, only targeting the dwindling audience preferring print to digital. Since you published via CreateSpace you can also purchase at-cost copies and offer them (autographed) via your own online sales point. Good luck.

Presuming your print books are paperback versions of your e books when you advertise one you advertise the other. The customer clicks and gets the book's site and has the choice if you have done it right and all versions are on the same page. I have sold e books, paperbacks, and audios based on the ads all at the same time. If you have only paperbacks, go to Kindle and get to publishing to provide your efforts with a wider stage. B

My CreateSpace book is slightly different in cover and text from my Kindle book. What about that? I mean, will there be a single sales page for both? Thanks.

The must match in at least the title to be 'the' same book.

There are always two sales pages linking to each other. Since only one cover shows at a time, the actual cover is irrelevant. If title and author are not exactly the same, go to your Author Central account and ask that the editions be linked. Include titles, authors, and ISBN & AISN. Or go to your metadata and correct whichever edition is incorrect.

There is definitely a way to advertise createspace print books. I see the "Sponsored Ad" logo next to createspace adult coloring books all the time. If you do a search for "Adult Coloring Book" and then click on any product page, you will see many in the "sponsored" section that are createspace. I always thought they did a seller's account and then did their sponsored ads. You may want to take your question to the createspace forum. Someone there might know.

I boosted a Facebook post where I advertised buying a paperback copy for a friend and getting the ebook version free since I checked the Book Match for free option. I wound up selling books which must have come from that ad, since I didn't sell any before or after. You might try a real FB ad which would get more clicks than a boosted page.
