Just a point of curiosity, but how do Amazon make their selection with regard to which titles they recommend to customers by email? Four of my books have been recommended this way and have resulted in some sales, one selling over 3,000 copies, but nothing I've released since has been offered as a recommendation. I'm not getting greedy in my old age, it's nice to get any sales at all, but is there any particular criteria that Amazon use for recommending a book by email or is it just the luck of the draw?
Many thanks
Dave

I think it's because you've LOOKED at those books. So the bots keep reminding you of their existence in hopes that your looking will translate to your buying.

(Don't trust KDP to publish a print edition. Don't trust CreateSpace to publish an ebook. Each does one thing well and the other thing poorly.)

Yes; this is annoying as hell. I look at someone's blurb or Look Inside--per request from a post--and for the next week I'll get e-mails reminding me of that fact.
