When using Kindle Create, the title page is in all caps. Yet, when I downloaded the book to my Kindle, the title changed to caps and lower case letters. I took a picture of it and this is how it looks:
THe Ballad of Smokey Stover...
How can I change this to upload a correct version to Amazon? Thanks!
Lori
ps sorry if there is an obvious answer as this is my first try at publishing to Kindle.

I assume you are trying to do a paperback.
Most of us use CreateSpace for paperbacks as the beta program for paperbacks at the Kindle site has its problems.
About all you can do is either change to CreateSpace for paperback or wait it out.

Did you, perhaps, use the "change case" function? Or the smallcaps, etc.? Something OTHER than typing it in all uppercase, manually?

Reload your Word doc into Kindle Create and redo your title as follows:

1. Load your doc into Kindle Create(KC).

2. In KC go to the title page and swipe and highlight your book title.

3. In the right-hand Text Properties panel, click on the Formatting tab.

4. Go down and click on Advanced Font Options then click on the Aa symbol and then select UPPERCASE.

5. Check and test your book to see how it looks by clicking on the Preview icon at top right.

If the ebook is OK then save and republish your corrected version on KDP in the normal way -- just re-upload your corrected ebook version to KDP and do nothing more if all book details etc are OK.

Why not try my free Sigil plugins now available on MobileRead?

OpenDocHTMLImport - converts ODT HTML(Writer) docs directly to epub.

GoogleZipImport - converts Google Doc HTML directly to epub format.

NormalizeScrivEpub - reformats, finishes-off and normalizes Scrivener epubs.

You can download all these free plugins from The Sigil Plugin Index on the MR Forum

William:

Doesn't that use the Text-transform functionality? That's what I was asking her about--I believe that it would be more sure if she simply manually typed the title in, in uppercase.
