Hey. I'm new to publishing books, but our Facebook page has a decent following so I'm looking to get a promo code for a book to give to the people on my facebook page.

I searched through the help, the forums and wherever else I could look and I couldn't find anything about promo codes. I found the Free promotion with the Kindle Select program. I saw something about a Countdown program, but nothing where I could offer "20% off when you use this code...."

Where are the promo codes in the KDP?

Thanks in advance.

The closest you'll come to that is through the giveaway option near the bottom of your sales page. If you set one up, it's possible to not make it open to all, allowing you to share the link via e-mail to only a select few. More info on the sales page link or on the Author Central welcome page.

There are none. Use Smash*words instead, if you want to do discounts with promo codes.

Otherwise, you can do an Ama*zon Giveaway, as Ralph suggested.
