Ok

DO I have to declare this as income tax payable?

I am in Uk. I believe any US sales are subject to the US 30% tax thing.

Can someone advise. I havent sold enough to make much difference at the moment but it is something to consider

Sadly, as with most things in life, the answer is it depends.

There is a negliable amount which the Inland Revenue won't bother with, much like you don't need to declare income from Ebay or car boot sales (until you hit a certain ill defined point). But this is never really defined.

Talking to the HMRC helpline will probably be the best bet to get an answer and try to get it in writing.
