Whilst I agree with the sentiment about specific 'fan' pages, having a standard page on Facebook is, in modern times, no different than having your own author-specific twitter feed, or even a website. There is a distinction between a 'fan page' and a 'page' - when setting it up there's an option to specifically say 'I am this person' or 'I am a fan of this person'.
P.S. Your accomplishments will speak for themselves,
and when you constantly remind people of your
credits, you look arrogant. I don't care how nice
you are, to me you are just a self-absorbed
This part should be aimed at more than just one person...
