Are you on meth or something? You misspelled Mioves.

Rob Walker

to make this at all of interest -- Here is the story in the Wall street Journal that got me going on this issue of late but as I have said, I have done many battles even with other authors on this subject. Can an author truthfully depict a dead person say Lincoln or Hitler without distortion? I believe i can shed light on such figures and times and places.

Here I run to the safety of the Voice of the Author forum and this is what I get?

There be some bad ass people over on that General forum and most are female.

The regular forum has folks involved in traditional publishing that hang out there and they may be paid to dominate and humiliate indies. Just stay away from that disgusting crowd. Too bad Amazon can't do anything about them.

Christ, I remember driving from here to Williams Air Force base in Arizona in my VW convertible back in 1969. Popped a West Coast turnaround and drove straight through. After getting there I joined my buddy and some other pilots for a mile and a half run. About half way through I suddenly said "what the f88k are you doing?" No sleep for over 24 hours and I am trying to keep up with guys that just came out of flight school. But I got to admit, meth in small doses can do great things. Not well known, but our long distant pilots are given drugs to keep them alert and the SOG teams in Nam were known to drop a few pills when they needed to stay alert for a few days. Ahhh wasted youth.

A new marketing strategy -- well my most recent idea is to utilize familiar phrases and fit them to your book's plot or platform....for example, the now cliched phrase, This is your brain...This is your brain on drugs.... You take it and APPLY it to your novel, the one you wish to push ala something along these lines -- This is my brainchild, but it only COOKS when you read it.

or Every Reader deserves the thrill of discovery a great book - in this case, my Bismarck 2013. (the phrase every reader deserves was culled from Every kid deserves to know the thrill of knowing the answer - from a print ad, borrowed, stolen, whatever).

Go on...take the voyage, but don't hurry back -- a Crest ad rearranged for my Titanic 2012.

This book will SOAK you to the gills with Terror.

In other words, it is time Indie Authors spoke up for their creations. You might call it hubris, you might call it arrogance, but I call it faith and confidence in my stories.

Honestly? You have to spend money to make money. Buy ad space. By google adsense. offer book web sites money to place an ad to your book for a certain amount of time, but make sure it's a site with lots of readers.

You are the first person that I have ever heard recommend Google adsense.

I have heard many, many complaints that it is not worth it.
