Ahh...To be a teenager in '50 when switchblades were legal and mansions on the hill were left to vagrants. When getting drunk in the streets at 3:00 was a, "We're going to have to call your parents kid," kind of offence.

Well that sun will be dipping behind some northerly mountain any time now.

The two little Filipina night nurses in the No Nookie Nursing Home came in insisting upon giving me a night time bath. !0 pm a little late for a bath? Then they wake me up again at 3am for another. Christ they are such hard, hard, hard workers.

I think they were watching the thread and decided your joke about a little pea was dirty. That is why you were bathed twice. Then later they thought your joke was still stinky. Whatever it was, you're clean now, and they're gone.

Do you really reside in a No Nookie? I've always wanted to retire to a No Thinkie Take You're Meds and Dont Ever Blinkie. The nurses who work there are overweight, but the company is the finest in all the land.

No, I live at my home in the beautiful island city of Alameda, California. Never colder than 35 degrees or very seldom hotter than 85 degrees. Beautiful views of the skylines of Oakland and San Francisco, and very little crime.

Thom

And we have a McDs that sets right by the Bay. You can order a senior coffee and a McDouble, give the clerk 2 bucks and get change back. The view alone is worth more than that. Lucky, lucky me.

Thanks. I actually lost the first poem. I hit a key and suddenly the thing was gone and the internet back button was no help.

And near the ocean? I love playing in the water. Not so much now that the radiation and sundered docks have made it here.

Alameda even has its own magazine. Look it up on the net, At least half the homes are 1800s. My own home was built in 1918 with the salvaged redwood lumber obtained by tearing down four houses that were on my lot. Whenever I get depressed I ride around the island and realize how lucky I am. Keith knows Alameda. He took his boot camp here. Very little land left to build on, except for the old Navy Base. That is why the prices of the homes stay high, I will never sell. I want my children and their children to be able to build a home in Alameda. (My parcel is large enough.)

It looks beautiful. My extended family all lives on the east coast and have the really old style beautiful houses like that. A good idea not to sell. Sometimes it's hard to get something back once gone...

Not suppose to review in one's own genre or was that gender? Hmmmm

As long as you write in a different genre it is fine. I admit to being too loose in my 5 Star reviews, but if I liked it I liked it.

I think everyone is still a bit edgy from last weeks meltdown. We all just breathe deeply and drive on by.
