I am at a loss as to which forms I'm suppose to fill out as an international. And are those forms sent to Amazon via snail mail or email. Will they just send a check and deduct 30 percent if the forms aren't in to them on time? If anyone has a clue please help.

As I undertand it, they will deduct the 30 per cent if you don't send the relevant forms to the IRS to get an exemption number. The form I am filling in right now is W-7. You can download this from the IRS website, together with instructions.

To save myself having to keep typing this, I put the instructions on my blog http://artisansoap.co.uk/blog/2012/05/kindle-ebooks-and-the-irs/

It it's ridiculously easy for non American non-USA residents to get their royalties from Amazon without the IRS taking a big bite. :-)
