1) Clicking on my month-to-date sales for the first time in July and instead of seeing that really depressing tan bar... a sale! I'm in the white! Yes! (This is especially awesome because I haven't sold any books for about a week).

2) The kind of reviews that make you want to keep writing.

3) A perfectly ripe watermelon on a really hot day.

4) Dirt track stock car races.

How about you? What do you love today?

A good cup of coffee. Lots of cream, lots of sugar.

The fact that my willpower has prevented me from punching my monitor in an attempt to manually rip out that brown bar.

I second your watermelon entry.

The fact that my wife is my best friend and makes me laugh every single day.

Woop! well done!

today I have been mostly amused by watching the collie have a stare-out with the guinea pigs. The guinea pigs are winning :-)

Well done for seeing off the brown bar :-)

I'm loving the aroma of a slow roast leg of lamb filling the kitchen...

I love the trust the Blackbirds have in me whilst they feed their babies on my patio whilst I sit and drink a coffee.

I love Sundays because I can be a lazy as I like and no one gets upset...ever.

Thom... watermelons right on the farm... I can't even imagine the goodness. And Lins777, lazy Sundays are wonderful :)

I also love the sound of my almost-three-year-old daughter's laughter when our golden retriever goes nuts over a laser pointer/moving reflection from a wrist watch.

There is absolutely nothing that compares to the laughter of a young child...

Happy days indeed. :-)

Congrats on the sale, perhaps July is answering our pleas favorably.

I love the sounds of early morning and the symphony of life that arises when the sun comes up.

I love the smell of rain on a hot summer day. The way the droplets leave tiny impressions in the dirt as they first fall to earth.

I love reaching out at night and finding my best friend beside me, knowing that whatever life brings, we are in it together.

And I love the sweet smell of my grandbaby's skin. The way she coos and smiles when I hold her. And best of all, the feeling of awe I get when I look at her and realize she's here in part because of me and is the greatest legacy I could ever hope to leave in life.

Ooo, sbin, in response to your summer rain... I love walking (or riding a dirt-bike) on a dirt road in the mountains just after the rain, leaving the first tracks in the stirred-up dust.

Okay, honestly, I love all of yours.

Unless it's the scream of outrage when the eldest daughter finds out what a young child has done.

Lol, and don't you just love the feel of soft dirt on your bare feet? Not the gravely stuff, but the kind of dirt that is almost powder. I love to go from a sunny spot to a shady spot and feel that cool velvety smoothness between my toes!

I love getting my first sale for the 3rd book in my series. It tells me someone either: (a) Read the others and liked them enough to go on, or (B) They haven't read any, but expect they will like them all. Either way, that made my day today, and I love that.

I'm still staring at that ugly bar too...lol. Congrats on your 1st July sale!

I love that my husband is outside doing yardwork, without being nagged, told or bribed to do so.

I love that even tho the bath will be awful later, the kids are covered in dirt from head to toe, which pretty much means - they've had a good day.

And tho I didn't know much about him before...I think after going to the movies with girlfriends last night, now I might love Channing Tatum...and that awesome hip thrust thing he does with his pelvis. Sigh.

Hearing someone who's reading my book talk about my characters as if they are mutual friends.
Getting a review that says the reader "got" my story.
Knowing that even when I can't string two words together late at night, tomorrow the flow will return and the story will progress to places I can't foresee just now.
Looking forward to that first sale of the month and the disappearance of what on my computer is a gray box on my reports page! Please, let it be soon!

I second that.....and the sound ice makes when it sloshes around with a good bourbon in a real glass. ;)
