Ken -- I was pleased to see your Titanic 2012 come up on memo to me, and I presume anyone interested in Titanic titles, from AMAZON. They gave you top billing, man! I then went to the page again and posted it on my wall - cover, title, etc via the Like button. Tossed it over to Pinterest and Twitter while at it as well.

Rob - great reviews, man!

Let me see if I can get this straight. The Titanic sunk, right? That being a given, we can always use another remake. Hmm?

Sure, I appreciate the abject tragedy of it all. That happens a lot in life. Just look at Obamacare?

SARGE - In my Titanic 2012 - Curse of RMS Titanic, the history is altered to include a monster on board....a shapeshifter that lays its eggs inside human hosts....these historical chapters alternate with 2012 chapters in which our current day salvage team has the wherewithal to actually dive 3 miles down and INSIDE the still haunted ship as one of the divers is IT and it has returned for its offspring ....

So it is not so much about DID it SINK as to WHY it was intentionally RAMMED into the f-n iceberg -- Stephen Colbert says the "tip of the iceberg is the most senstive part" so I rather hate it that the iceberg is always BLAMED when it was the Captain of the ship responsible. In my humble way, I wish to correct wrong ideas about Titanic....hehheheehhehehe.

Now hear this - Titanic is FREE....you have a ticket awaiting you at Gate 666 in the Twilight Zone if you have the guts to climb aboard....

find your ticket here -- http://www.amazon.com/Titanic-2012-Curse-RMS-ebook/dp/B0049U4CCE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340716653&sr=8-1&keywords=Titanic+2013

After reading the above important to all who are involved in ebooks article in WSJ....then time to start thinking about how you can put the 4th of July and fireworks into pushing a book.

Use Holidays, esp. big ones like this and use the Holiday Week to sell well. Good luck to all; it is a hard thing to start all over each month at the starting gate...not my favorite time to look at the punk sales on first day of each month.

Sarge;
At the risk of being redundant, the story of the Titanic may be old hat to you but it is the connector to the young to interest them in history and in reading. I am amazed when seeing the passion in children for this subject, as they want to learn all they can about the tragedy of the story of the Titanic. Their grandparents and parents are able to encourage them and the topic gets entire families to find time to spend together when touring a Titanic exhibit and for the family to interact as a family. There are plenty of good things coming from this rehash of this old story. The byproduct is that I am seeing plenty of folks buying both print and Kindle books about the Titanic. That is good for all writers, to know that finding an angle, such as Rob as done, to tell an old story in a different way can lead to new readers. The path to the future happens to be a ticket on the Titanic. I pass out passenger tickets to the Titanic with my book on the reverse side. Good luck to all and God Bless you all real good.

Slogans is what I have been pushing....Find a slogant for your book. Hell find a theme song, one familiar to folks and :play it on youtube for your FB friends, send twitter friends to listen to it on youtube, say it could have been and should have been theme song for your book.

by the way, talk about TITANIC moments...all over the BIG NEWS outlets now ebooks are being given their due as they are now outselling paper books.

Alfred Vanderbilt was one of nearly a dozen notables who "missed the boat" and took either an earlier or later ship to cross the Atlantic instead of the Titanic. He did make it on the Lusitania and died when a German U Boat murdered over 1,000 civilians traveling on the unarmed passenger liner.

A lot of folks do not understand the fascination with Titanic, yet those same people may well be fascinated with the whole notion of FATE. Titanic continues to fascinate on the basis of Karma and FATE and Chance.... and Decisions made in the dark or NOT. Universal themes.

Writing books in a specialized field, such as the Titanic Happening, brings a large audience to a writer, which is the point of all this.
This Titanic arena is attracting an entire new generation as elementary age are now becoming Titanic fanatics and will devour anything associated with the RMS Titanic. Seldom are there topics which will capture the imagination of those 8 to 80. This is one.
Try Rob's new book, CHOICES IN THE DARK, which is a perfect example of digging gold out of an old mine.
Good Luck to all and God bless you all real good.
