.... which KDP have blandly told me is the reason my book is STILL in review after TWO WEEKS.
They seem quite happy that their answer is sufficient to check my query off their to-do list and leave me hanging. No explanation. Nothing. Nothing more they can do, apparently. Try a new book, they say. But it won't be published until this one is approved, they say.
This is absolutely bloody genius!
Could Authonomy.com be the reason? I had an extract on there (only an extract). Of course with KDP logic (as demonstrated above), they wouldn't have bothered actually checking that it was only an extract. I have deleted it from Authonomy, just in case.
This is KDP service?
You've gotta love a monopoly, haven't you? More like a bloody Reich.
I have received the same e mail from them. I wish they were kind enough to elaborate so that we, the authors could avoid the same mistakes in the future and not be wasting all our waking time wondering what risks we have unleashed with our innocent writing. If anyone knows more about this, pls. reply.
There was mention of plagiarising and how easy it would be from a forum member. My guess is that KDP/Amazon are taking further measures to catch any attempts at plagiarising before publishing. If so, then waiting a few days more seems reasonable to me.
Of course, I may be wrong but that is what it sounds like to me.
