I was just now studying a competitor's e-book, and noticed that its current sales ranking is 160k. The books is fiction, somewhat along the lines of romance, and currently selling for 99 cents. It has been on the market for almost a year. Any rough ideas on approximately how many copies are selling per day? Probably not many, but I'd still be interested in a good ballpark number. Thanks for any helpful info!
You posted seven hours ago. Check that same ranking now. It could be entirely different, depending on sales of that book compared to sales of other books.
I have a book that sold 17 last month for .99. Its ranking ranged from 79K to 338K and averaged 128K for the month. Amzn used the term "current" for a reason.
If you want a better impression of that specific competitor book's ranking, look at it everyday at the same time, then find the average for the month. You'd get an even better idea if you did the same for six months. You'd also get an idea if sales are gaining or falling for that book over an extended period of time.
